We have Mystery Can 2009, an office event!

Core Rules from the Web:

1. Only one Mystery Can per day may be consumed for a period of SEVEN DAYS.
2. A Mystery Can may be eaten during any meal.
3. The eater must prepare a main course prior to opening the Mystery Can.
4. The eater must consume at least 50% of the Mystery Can's contents.
5. The purchaser of a Mystery Can must notify the eater of any specific cooking instructions (i.e. adding water if condensed).
6. Shaking a Mystery Can prior to opening is not only allowed; it is encouraged.
7. Foods unknown to the eater will be revealed after he or she consumes the Mystery Can's contents.

Additional Rules:

8. All cans to be used must be in date, and have a use by/best before stamped on the can
9. No Meat. Yes Sarah, insects / larvae / pupae / land-dwelling creatures are meat.
10. Sea-food is, with some trepidation, allowed.
11. All participants must pick someone to donate cans to from a hat
12. Any and all food allergies must be written on the name card before it’s pulled from the hat
13. All meals must be photographed for the write-up, and a short bit of text about your experience noted down.
14. Cans should not have contents which the buyer is aware of having a compulsory physical effect on the body (including constipation, diarrhoea, induced vomiting). Cans containing things that are just off-putting are of course, well in the spirit of the game.
15. The contents of the can must be edible in their own right. A can of soy-sauce or shrimp-paste for instance, is clearly not edible.
16. Size matters. If you can pick it up with one hand by yourself, without being a smart-arse and using a bag or similar, it’s fair game.

All cans to be brought in, without labels for Monday 2nd February.
